Robin Bradshaw

Consultant, Board of Airlines Representatives (BAR) of the Philippines

Robin has 25 years of Executive and General Management roles in highly diverse businesses, environments and cultural contexts. Since July 2016 he has been Country Manager, Philippines & Guam, Cathay Pacific Airways, Manila. He manages all aspects of Cathay Pacific’s business in the Philippines and Guam, including passenger sales, cargo sales, operations and airport teams, and covering all government and stakeholder relationships. The Philippines is a top 15 revenue generating country for the Cathay Pacific Group, with 3 brands and 4 ports in the country. With 130 employees and up to 11 frequencies a day across all aircraft types, it is one of the largest countries in the network. Previous roles include General Manager, People, The China Navigation Company Ltd in Singapore between 2014 and 2016 and prior to that Robin was Group General Manager, Logistics, Steamships Trading. Previous to those positions, he held various roles at Cathay Pacific across the globe. Robin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), 1st Vice President of the Philippines Board of Airline Representatives, a Member of the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Management Association of the Philippines, and a Rotarian. He is also an adjunct faculty lecturer at Singapore Management University in the Executive Education School, and an Executive in Residence at the Asian Institute of Management in Manila.

Paul Burton

Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Aviation Week Network


Paul Burton is responsible for shaping and implementing Aviation Week Network strategy for the Asia Pacific region, and his portfolio spans all areas of AWN output, including exhibitions, conferences, data/insight, media and advertising. Prior to joining AWN, he was Director of Content and Asia-Pacific Business Development at Jane’s by IHS Markit.

He specializes in aerospace and defence content leadership, with a strong focus on product development and delivering projects that exceed the needs of senior clients throughout Asia and Europe. Paul has provided tailored business development support to many Asian government agencies and A&D companies, briefing them on key strategic trends and market developments. He has led projects for economic ministries that crafted a viable export strategy for elements of their national A&D base, and conducted numerous market entry studies for A&D companies looking to expand their regional footprints.

Previously, he worked in research and management roles at BAE SYSTEMS, Jane’s Information Group and the United Kingdom Parliament. Mr. Burton’s university degrees include a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Politics from the University of Portsmouth, England, and a Master of Arts in US Studies from the School of the Americas, University of London, UK, where he focused on foreign policy.

Toby Koch

General Manager, Engineering, Alliance Airlines


Toby joined Alliance in 2007 as an Avionics LAME at the introduction of the Adelaide Base. In 2010 Toby took on the role of Adelaide Senior Base Engineer and in 2012 became Regional Maintenance Manager VIC/SA. In 2014 Toby relocated to Brisbane to take on the role of General Manager – Engineering. Toby is a qualified Avionics Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and prior to Alliance Airlines worked as a LAME in Adelaide for REX Airlines, Airnorth and National Jet Systems. With career exposure from general aviation to high capacity airlines Toby has a wealth of experience in both Line and Base aircraft maintenance.

Sebastian Lang

Head of Product Sales Asia Pacific, Lufthansa Technik AG

Sebastian has six years of experience within Lufthansa Technik in various departments – starting as a Graduate Management Trainee. He joined the digital department in the early stage to focus on customer needs for an efficient and agile development that has grown to THE independent platform on the market for software solutions to improve and save cost in the tech-ops. Sebastian leads the team in Asia Pacific to manage the Sales and Customer Success Management with a strong drive on the Customer Community. He is an entrepreneur, professional and aviation-enthusiast with start-up mentality and track record.

Norbert Marx

General Manager, GAMECO

Norbert Marx, born 1958 and holding a master degree in aeronautical engineering since 1982, has spent his entire professional life in different fields of aviation.  He joined Lufthansa in 1989 at their aircraft maintenance base in Hamburg, where he became responsible for its VIP Jet-completion business. From 1994 until 2000 Marx was head of Aircraft Overhaul at AMECO Beijing, being in charge for the first B747 D-Check ever performed in China. In 2001 Marx was named President and CEO of Lufthansa Technik Tulsa in Tulsa, OK, USA and in 2006 he joined Jet Aviation as General Manager of Jet Aviation AG in Basle, Switzerland. In 2010 he moved to Vancouver, Canada as Vice President of Canadian Helicopters CHC/Heli One. Since April 2011 Marx is in charge of GAMECO as their General Manager, a JV of China Southern Airlines and Hutchison Whampoa. With over 5,000 employees, GAMECO provides base-, line- , component and landing gear MRO for today’s Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft. Marx is married and has two children. 

Yip Hin Meng

EVP/Head, Aviation Asset Management Commercial Aerospace, ST Engineering

Yip Hin Meng oversees the Aviation Asset Management business of ST Engineering, managing a portfolio of aircraft and aircraft engines backed by the Group’s engineering and technical expertise to provide investors and airlines with end-to-end lifecycle asset management solutions. 

He is an executive with 28 years of professional and managerial experience in Aviation Leasing, Enterprise Risk Management and Aviation MRO. Mr Yip was instrumental in developing the engine leasing and aircraft leasing joint ventures with ST Engineering’s business partners, as well as leading the transaction of a 30-engine portfolio into an asset-backed securitisation vehicle, the first of such transactions from an Asia-based engine lessor.  

Bernd Meyer

Deputy GM, Ameco Beijing (Chengdu)

Bernd Meyer has over 25 years of Management experience in the MRO Industry and has worked invarious locations in Europe, Philippines and China within the Lufthansa Technik Network covering Aircraft Line- and Base Maintenance, Engine Overhaul as well as APU- and Component Heavy Maintenance. Currently Bernd is Deputy General Manager of Ameco, a Joint Venture between Air China and Lufthansa, in Chengdu, P.R. of China.


Nur Ashikin BT Mohammad Ariff

Head, CAMO, Engineering and Maintenance Department, Firefly


Nur Ashikin is a Head of Continuing Airworthiness for Firefly Airlines, a sister company of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, Malaysia. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, she first joined Firefly as a Technical Service Engineer (Avionics) in 2011.Holding a Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) postholder’s position as Head of Continuing Airworthiness since 2016, she is responsible for the management of continuing airworthiness activities of Firefly aircraft fleet. Specifically, she is responsible to ensure that the organization’s maintenance management working in accordance with Part M requirements, management of continued airworthiness information, management of aircraft maintenance, Engine Management, Aircraft EIS and EOL, and to maintain oversight of technical services, planning & technical records activities. Apart from the primary responsibility as Head of CAMO, she is actively involved in various Engineering Contracts and Tender projects. She is recently focusing on setting up and expanding Firefly ATR’s MRO capabilities which is evolved from Firefly Airlines’ Engineering & Maintenance Department, which initially focused on supporting the airlines’ AOC.

Jonas Murby

Principal, AeroDynamic Advisory

Jonas Murby is a Principal at AeroDynamic Advisory, a speciality consulting firm focused on the global aerospace and aviation industries. He has 18 years of aerospace experience, including more than 50 consulting engagements for leading aviation and aerospace companies across the globe.

Previously, Jonas founded Merxcell, a boutique consultancy focusing on industrial marketing in the aerospace sector. Earlier, Jonas was a Principal with ICF (formerly AeroStrategy), in United States, where he assisted a global set of MROs, OEMs and investors with market analysis, market strategy, transaction support and customer satisfaction.

Earlier, Jonas worked for six years at Scandinavian Airlines and ST Aerospace Solutions in Denmark, with market analysis, value proposition development, business development and negotiation of industrial partnerships. This included two years as a commercial liaison at EADS Sogerma in France.

Derwin Sandoval

Director Engineering and Maintenance, Bassaka Air

Mr. Derwin Sandoval is the head of Engineering and Maintenance for Bassaka Air. He is responsible for the overall continuous airworthiness of Bassaka Air’s fleet. His skills include: Airframe, Powerplant, Avionics, Operations Management, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Maintenance, Aircraft Lease and Acquisition, and Asset Management. Derwin is an engineering professional with type ratings on A320 Family, A330 and A340 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering focused in Operations, Engineering and Maintenance. Prior to joining Bassaka Air, he was the head of engineering, technical consultant, maintenance manager and engine run up instructor of various airline companies.

James Pozzi

European MRO Editor, Aviation Week Network


James Pozzi oversees digital content for MRO Network, now part of the Aviation Week Network, including the MRO Network Daily newsletter and MRO-Network.com. 

James also contributes to Inside MRO, Aviation Week Network’s monthly maintenance, repair and overhaul focused publication found inside the pages of Aviation Week Space & Technology. 

James joined MRO Network in 2014, joining from The Manufacturer where he held the title of Industry Editor. From a journalist background, James graduated from News Associates NCTJ training school in 2012. Beforehand, he obtained an honors degree in English and History from Brunel University.

Todd Siena

Founder and CEO, Block Aero Technologies


Todd Siena, a Tokyo-born, American entrepreneur, comes from the leading edge of the millennial cohort with over a decade of experience executing projects in commercial aerospace manufacturing, MRO, aftermarket, and finance. He is the Founder & CEO of Block Aero Technologies Limited an aerospace enterprise solution provider of a blockchain-powered, total lifecycle aviation asset management platform.

Todd has spoken to leaders of the global aviation industry at the widely respected SpeedNews Aerospace Suppliers Conference, Aviation Week MRO Network, Aerotropolis, ICAO Aviation Blockchain Summit. He was recognized in 2015 as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Aerospace Professionals by McGraw Hill Financial – Aviation Week Science & Technology. In 2020, his company was listed in the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Future of Aviation catalogue for the benefits its innovative technology brings to safety and the UN SDGs.


Trinh Quoc Cuong

Commercial Director, Vietstar Aero Engineering


Trinh Quoc Cuong is Head of Customer Department cum Workshop Manager – Vietstar Aero Engineering Company. In this position, he provides the strategic plan to develop the whole market in Vietnam and other regional countries such as Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. Specific focus areas include information technology in MRO & airline, marketing plan, budget plan, operational excellence activities, quality, delivery and cost performance measures, and the establishment of the new projects. Trinh Quoc Cuong had the bachelor degree of Aero Engineering, MBA, and Msc in Finance. Trinh Quoc Cuong had 18 years of experiences in the aviation industry. Trinh Quoc Cuong joined Vietstar Aero Engineering Company in 2011 in the workshop unit and worked as workshop manager. Prior to joining VSAE, he worked for Vietnam Airlines and served as the ARS and AMT.  During his time in aviation, he already successfully set up a few programs to manage component maintenance and stock management system.

Shevantha Weerasekera

Head of Engineering, Sri Lankan Airlines

Shevantha Weerasekera heads the Design Engineering team within Etihad Airways Engineering the Middle East’s leading aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services provider. 

He is the post holder for the EASA/GCAA part 21J Design Organization. He has P&L accountability and oversees the design engineering team that provides 24-7 technical support, modifications and repairs for the extensive MRO customer base. 

Shevantha’s background includes 20 years in aviation with a strong focus on CAMO, aircraft structural repairs,  airworthiness and maintenance operations management. Shevantha is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and holds a BSc (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from Kinston University, UK and a MSc in Project Management from Curtin University, Australia.


Ian Wolfe

Head of Engineering, Cebu Pacific Air


Ian Wolfe has a broad range of MRO and airline engineering experience having been in the industry for over 20 years and in various parts of the world including Australia, Middle East and now Philippines. These skills range from Line and Base Maintenance Planning activities, Chief Executive duties of MRO and heading a Commercial operation of MRO in the Middle East as part of the development of a global footprint. Ian is now heading the Engineering and Fleet Management business of the Philippines leading carrier. Previous positions have been with Qantas as General Manager of Commercial Planning, Chief Commercial Officer at ADAT ( Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies) located in Abu Dhabi, As CEO of John Holland Aviation Services in Melbourne and currently as Head of Engineering at Cebu Pacific Air, The Philippines leading airline and low cost carrier based in Manila.

CEO, Heston MRO


Asta Zirlyte is CEO of Heston MRO, a truly independent and agile MRO for Australasia, a Regional one-stop alternative to global brands.  

Before moving to Australia, Asta was a Deputy CEO for Daughter Companies in FL Technics, Head of Line Maintenance Business Unit building, developing and managing the largest network of independent line stations in Europe under FL Technics EASA P145 and Storm Aviation UK P145 & P147. Before joining aviation industry Asta was COO of Baltic Clipper/ BCD Travel in Corporate Travel industry.
